1995, acho. Cancelaram o concerto para o Estádio de Alvalade, devido a doença do baixista.
Na altura, corria uma anedota. Contava-se que Stipe era muito desorganizado e que tinha perdido todas as letras das canções. Ah, os "ZáGáÉFE" ?...

Eu ixpiriku: 1978+/-, Festa do "Avante" (jornal do Partido Comunista Português) a vanguarda da cultura numa semana no alto da Ajuda.

Bandas de topo várias, entre elas os "Dexys M R".
Éramos uns 10 para ir vê-los. Chegados ao local do concerto, palco 1 (ou coisa q o valha) plateia cheia d'alantjanos (daqueles com chapéu e tudo, mesmo d nôte) e daquelas com lenço e chapéu e tudo, mesmo d nôte.
Ficámos atrás daquela chaparrada tôda. O som mal s ouvia... É ataum q ouvimos 1 chaparro preguntar a ôtro: "quem som estis?" resposta: "axo q são os ZáGáÉFE" (UHF, banda rock tuga do momento).
Foi o melhor momento do concerto, acredita!
Já aqui (café avenida-music box) coloquei 1 clip dos Dexys M R. Era o "Plan B" coisa q faz sempre tanta falta (suspiro).

Mas os Dexys M R já não são do povo e devem estar cheinhos de promoções gratuítas e trataram d vedar coisas do proletariado, ao qual já devem ter renegado...

Assim sendo, vai + uma "lost song". Daquelas que infeliz e injustamente passam despercebidas:

Portugal, apenas viu Ziggy Marley e também os Wailers.
The Wailers vieram 1º, em 9 de Julho 1988 no 1.º (e único?) Festival Rock do Benfica no antigo Estádio da Luz.

Foi uma época fabulosa a dos finais de 1970s - princípios de 80s.
Rory Gallagher (posts atrás) tb cá veio c o melhor concerto de que há memória dentro do género.
Apareceu por Portugal tudo e mais alguma coisa, o Dramático de Cascais não chegava para as encomendas, o pavilhão dos Belenenses transbordava...
Ainda tenho práki um bilhete do Elvis Costello por estrear...
Não fui a esse concerto do Costello (ainda por cima, na altura ele era amigo e vizinho de uma amiga minha em Londres) e tenho imensa pena pq o podia ter conhecido pessoalmente. Mas por outro lado, não sei o que aconteceu, que fizeram bilhetes a mais para esse concerto e quase todos os meus amigos que o foram ver, ficaram cá fora... Abriram a frente toda do pavilhão para a assistência no exterior, e ao que parece o público cá fora sentiu-se bem melhor...
